The Giver

In The Giver in chapter four Jonas has a memory about this baby kid name Gabriel he is barely a new born while Jonas was helping the old woman with bathing. Slowly he remembered about Gabriel. This memory might be important because in that page of the story when Jonas was bathing the old woman he thought about baby Gabriel because he remembered about how fragile the skin is and the soothing water and the gentle motion of the hand and how slippery the soap made it relaxed and peaceful. While reading the book The Giver in the story so far there have been a lot of memory moments. One memory is that he remembered about the baby Gabriel. In chapter four, Jonas squeezed cleansing lotion onto the clean sponge at the edge of the tub and began to wash the frail dry body of the woman as" Last night he had watched as his father bathed the new child remembering the relaxed, peaceful smile on the woman's face reminded him of Gabriel being bathed.

In chapter one by The Giver Jonas has a memory about his friend Asher. In this memory it talks about Jonas trying to support his friend Asher in his game but Jonas accidentally says something that he is not supposed to say. In this memory Asher gets in trouble by his coach and is taken aside for a brief and serious talk by his coach. Jonas is now thinking about the feeling of fear, he remembered that moment of palpable, stomach sinking terror when the aircraft had streaked above. Why is this memory important might be because during in that chapter Jonas talks about how he was scared for the month of December to come. He was having the strangest feelings around that time. Which might be why he is having all this stressed and having flash backs of his memories again and again.
